The Viking Woodshops was born from a simple belief: the best things are made slowly, with respect for the material and the craft. Inspired by the Norse tradition of building objects that outlast the maker, every piece that leaves our shop carries that spirit.

We work with sustainably sourced hardwoods — walnut, white oak, maple, cherry — selecting each board for its grain, character, and story. No shortcuts. No mass production. Just a craftsman, the wood, and time-tested joinery.

Whether it's a dining table that becomes a family heirloom, or a hand-turned cutting board used every morning, we build things meant to be loved for generations.

The Way of the Craftsman

From your idea to a finished heirloom — every custom piece follows the same four steps.

Design & Consult

We discuss your vision, dimensions, wood species, joinery style, and finish. You'll get a detailed sketch and quote before we touch a board.

Wood Selection

We hand-select boards for character, grain pattern, and structural integrity. Every slab is inspected before milling.

III

Build & Craft

Traditional hand-cut joinery, careful shaping, and patient assembly. Progress photos shared throughout the build.

IV

Finish & Deliver

Hand-sanded to 220 grit, finished with food-safe oils or lacquers, then delivered to your door or available for local pickup.
